Animation I Final

Storyboarding Comic

These are pages one though six of my Storyboarding final. I apologize for the lack of posts here, but since I have been working on much of the same things for an extended period of time, there was not much to be able to post. I hope you can enjoy Gyselle the elf and Asper the dwarf.

Puppet Pins

In my Graphics class we learned about puppet pins in Adobe After Effects and were asked to make a dance with our puppet character. The character has my funny face and hands with other random parts.

Cut Out Character Animation

This is a silhouette cut out animation. We were asked to show emotions. I apologize for the bad back lighting and pop up of hands in the middle, I had some program issues that I hope to fix soon.

Hand Drawn Walk Cycle

This is my first hand drawn walk cycle with my character Gyselle. It is just a rough pencil drawing, but I had a lot of fun making it.

Owl Fly Cycle

After Effects Assignment where we made a fly cycle and learned how to put it and background elements together.

Perspective Drawings

These drawings are of my character's home in the trees. Her name is Gyselle and she is an elf. Her character sheets will be up soon. Two of the drawings are one point, and on is two point perspective. I apologize for one not being rotated correctly, and I will fix this soon as well.

Robot on a Planet

This assignment was just to play with Adobe After Effects and some of it's effects. We had to put a robot on a planet and play around.

Dexter's Laboratory storyboard

The first two pages of the episode "Big Move" from Dexter's Laboratory were assigned to my class to storyboard.

Wrong Order

This is a comic that required two characters and an order had to come to the table that was obviously wrong somehow. My comic is fairly straightforward. I hope you enjoy it.

Exploring .gif's

We were assigned to make .gif's about exploring in class. Only one was required, but my partners and I became excited and made four. We had some troubles with one, so here are the three that are finished.

Character Rotation

My second animation of a character rotating. I began learning walk cycles after this was assigned, so he turns like he is on a lazy susan. My only requirements were to have him turn to the audience, wave, and turn back around.

Character Model

I was assigned the task of creating a character and to make a model sheet for it. I chose a female elf-like person. I also made a clay model for reference in addition to the sheet.

Three Creatures

This assignment was the first from my graphics and moving image class. We were required to make three creatures with twenty collage elements and place them in such a way that they create the illusion of space. These are my creatures.

In class collaborative

Today in Drawing for Animation, we created two characters with each student adding separate components. This is what developed from our odd minds.

Number Morph

This is a collaborative assignment. Each of us received a set of 2 numbers in sequence (someone received 1&2, the next 2&3, next 3&4 etc.) and were told to introduce the number from the left, morph into the next number, and then exit from the right. I received 7&8 and this is what I chose. Color was optional, but I chose to play with it a little. Most students just used plain pencil. I hope you enjoy my first animation.

The character of my first storyboard assignment.

I want something cute and fuzzy with large eyes and ears reminiscent of the creatures in the movie Gremlins. It has two feet with three toes each, two eyes, a mouth, and two ears. It has no arms and is a round fuzzball. The forest is it's home and it is always hungry for fruit, but to get the fruit, it must climb the trees. Lucky enough, the super bouncy mushrooms can help.

Making a PBJ

My first assignment of the fall 2012 semester in college. This is how to make a PBJ sandwich when you awake at midnight to find your tummy all grumbly. This may or may not be finished. I don't personally prefer comic making, although I do enjoy the reading of them.
